|Title||Access-friendly afternoon History Walk|
Led by Mike Hildesley, join us for a fascinating insight into Barnes Common - and in the pub for after-walk chats, of course! Meet at Barnes Pond by the Totem (outside OSO on the Common side of pond) to depart at 14.00. The walk should last no more than an hour and a quarter, taking in the Green, Maisie's Meadow and Mill Hill. We will finish back at the Green for those wishing to join us for after-walk chats as we head to Sun Inn.
This shorter walk is wheel-chair friendly and particularly suitable for anyone not wishing to join in our longer ventures, or preferring flatter surfaces. For anyone walking, good walking shoes or boots are recommended and although we are getting later in the season, be aware there may be bugs! Whilst this is a history walk, there is no harm in bringing binoculars in case of interesting sightings .
