Meet Wednesdays during Autumn and Summer terms at Vine Road Recreation Ground SW13 0NE from 16.00 - 17.15
Through introducing opportunities and challenges unlikely to be replicated in a formal designated outdoor space, we aim to fire passion, inspire questions and raise awareness of our local spaces - and have great fun along the way. It is a community-based project, with local experts popping in from time to time to share their knowledge and interests. A visit last term from a local local kite-maker created at truly STEM activity - with vast quantities of art and laughter thrown into the mix!
We are proud to be working with local teacher-training institutions and offer paid placements to explore ways to use off-site learning opportunities, and to observe differences in how young people respond to learning in this environment. Their energy, enthusiasm and ideas are all a vital asset to the success of our programme.
We are all living increasingly busy lives. We believe the consistency - and plain good fun - of regular time spent exploring and enjoying with friends in a familiar local space offers a wonderful chance to explore, discover, make new friends outside your usual peer group, and to simply “be” - whatever your age.
Contact Sharon - as a participant, trainee teacher or should you be interested in sharing a skill, activity or story.
