We are fortunate to work with Butterfly Conservation, the British charity devoted to saving butterflies, moths and their habitats throughout the UK, and doubly fortunate that the charity’s Chair of Council is a Barnes resident….and good Friend of Barnes Common!
Since this collaboration began in 2016, she has kindly submitted an annual review and you can find her Reports and our Species List below.
The bi-weekly transects are carried out by a crack team of experienced and passionate volunteers. We are grateful to Karen Goldie-Morrison for her experience and expertise, and to photographers Andrew Wilson and Penny Smallshire and others for their regular (and stunning) wildlife photographic contributions.
We are also extremely grateful to our team of volunteers who give their time regularly over twenty-six weeks each year to record and report sightings.
If you would like to find out more about our ecological volunteering opportunities, or to report sightings, please contact Will.
