SPRING IS SPRINGING AND LITTLE SPROUTS ARE SPROUTING – just not in our usual way:
We are taking Growing Together off-site, right out into the community and straight to you – from a distance! Free seeds, ideas for growing and how you can help keep your community growing project alive. Why not get involved in our Sunflower Superhighway in the Sky project or find out more about Growing from Home
Growing Together is our outdoor learning project that focuses on community food growing. It is an inclusive, cross-generational, informal and immersive learning programme (that means you get your hands in the soil, explore, learn and laugh lots). There are many ways we can grow and learn together and we hope you will find something of interest. If you can’t see what you are looking for or have a great idea you would like to share, we would love to hear from you.
These sessions are already nearly full for the Spring 2020 term, so don’t delay! Do get in touch if you would like to know more – and do keep an eye on our Calendar for upcoming Easter activities.
What: Little Sprouts are immersive 45 minute sessions focusing on the needs and development of our youngest members of ‘Growing Together’, our community food growing project. Directed by their adults (although it can often be the other way ’round!) everyone has chance to get their hands dirty, explore seeds, plants, mini-beasties and pollinators.
When: Term-time Tuesdays after clocks Spring forward in March, until they Fall back in October
Where: Vine Road Recreation Ground SW13 0NE.
