Helping with the compost

AUTUMN SESSIONS: Tuesday 11th September - Tuesday 13th November 2018 from 10.15 - 11.00.

These sessions are very popular and we are now fully booked for the Autumn Term. We do not run during the winter months and start back in the Spring - weather dependent, so do watch this space for the start date for 2019 and check the calendar on our Home Page for other events and activities that may be of interest.

Little Sprouts is a community-based project that offers an informal learning opportunity for under 5's and their adults on a weekly basis at Vine Road Recreation Ground SW13 0NE.  We meet every Tuesday during term-time (dates for this term are above)

The first taster session is free to non members. There is no charge for FoBC Family Members. Annual Family Membership is just £10 by standing order. These are popular sessions and do book your place in advance to avoid disappointment.

Centred largely around our community raised beds and polytunnel, there is an emphasis on sowing, growing, harvesting, eating - and sharing (!) food grown by our local community.

This immersive 45 minute session focuses on the needs and development of our youngest members as, led by their adults (although it can often be the other way 'round!) everyone has chance to get their hands dirty, explore seeds, plants, mini-beasties and pollinators.

We are all living increasingly busy lives.  We believe the consistency - and plain good fun - of regular time spent exploring and enjoying with friends in a familiar local space offers a wonderful chance to explore, discover, learn and simply “be”.

June 2018. We are delighted to see our project highlighted on the front cover of the BGCI Roots Education Review (issue 14.2). You can read the full article here. It starts on page 12 Smile
