Give a Gift and Support Our Charity!

Are you looking for the perfect stocking filler or a party host gift? We’ve got a great selection of thoughtful, locally made gifts that support our charity.

Anyone can sign up for Barnes Common membership by becoming our Friend here, and it’s free. However, you can opt to support our nature conservation and lifelong learning work in the community by upgrading to a Keystone membership for £50 per year. Keystone Friends receive a 25% discount on tickets to our events (for the Keystone Friend plus up to 4 guests), invitations to occasional Keystone Friends’ events and our Friends’ printed newsletter 2 times a year. Gift memberships are available.

As part of our Christmas membership drive, the first 15 new Keystone members who sign up before Christmas will receive a complimentary copy of local photographer Andrew Wilson’s popular photo book, Wild In The City (A celebration of the open spaces of Putney, Barnes and Richmond).

For Green Friday this year, we are offering 10% off our Christmas wreath making and Christmas ornament weaving workshops until the end of the month. Book via Eventbrite before 23:30 on the 30th of November and the discount should be automatically applied to your tickets.

For a great stocking filler with a scent of summer, get one of our little bags of locally grown lavender or bay leaves – they were made by our community growing project volunteers (only £1.50 each). And for all your festive greetings, choose our beautiful birds and flowers of Barnes Common greetings cards, designed by local artist Yvonne Langley (£10 for a set of 4).

With all proceeds supporting our nature conservation and lifelong learning work in the community, you’ll feel good about these purchases! We also stock Andrew Wilson’s Wild London series of books and his brand new 2026 calendar – The Swans Edition (50% profits donated to Barnes Common).

So pop into our office at Vine Road Recreation Ground and support us this festive season! We accept cash and card payments.
