The world around us is changing. With change, comes learning. As advocates of Lifelong Learning, we aim to equip adults to responsibly react to the changes in our communities, especially those impacting the natural environment. We are closely linked to the wild spaces and species around us through the benefits that we gain and the relationships that connect us with them. By working to protect the natural environment, we can ensure that these relationships and benefits are sustained for future generations.
Our recent Lifelong Learning activities have included:
- Winter and Spring Tree Walks
- Bat Walks at Leg O’Mutton
- History Walks
- Nature Talks on Butterflies, Swifts etc.
- Seasonal Dementia Friendly Nature Walks
- Fungi Walks at our Autumn Fayre
- Food Growing and Gardening Talks
As well as these walks and talks, the Conservation and Community Growing teams have a lively schedule of practical opportunities including:
- Weekend Conservation Volunteering sessions
- Monthly Growing sessions
- LGBTQ+ Growing sessions
- Orchard Management activities
Come along to one of our Adult Learning events to learn more about the local area, how we are looking after it, and how you can get involved! Our events are social and informative, we love to hear your stories and questions too. See our events list to find out when the next event is.
