Job Vacancies

We currently have 2 job openings: a Conservation Assistant (Volunteer Lead) and a Project Manager (CBS Flood Resilience). Both are full time, fixed term contracts with the details as follows.

We are looking to recruit a Conservation Assistant (Volunteer Lead) to assist with the nature conservation and the associated delivery of activities for volunteers across a number of Local Nature Reserves (LNR) and Sites of Nature Conservation Interest (SNCI) within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.

You will be joining BCL’s Conservation Team which works in unison with BCL’s other activities, including education, wellbeing and community engagement along with various projects ranging from flood resilience to food growing. You will work closely with BCL’s Volunteer Co-ordinator who arranges the administrative organisation, recruitment and induction for BCL’s volunteers. The role is full time and while the majority of work will be conservation based, it is expected that half the time will be spent working with and leading BCL’s volunteers.

We are looking to recruit a Project Manager for Barnes Common Limited (BCL) to work on the Community BlueScapes Flood Resilience project (CBS). We are seeking an experienced individual who enjoys practical project management and who is looking to develop their career and work with the community at the cutting edge of response to Climate Change and the specific challenges of flooding and water management.

Barnes Common Limited is recruiting a Project Manager to manage its role in the Community BlueScapes Project (CBS). CBS aims to improve flood resilience using innovative actions by working with people and harnessing nature. This role focuses on the delivery of five Natural Flood Management/ Sustainable Drainage System schemes to be delivered by late 2026. The role will also facilitate wider activities within the CBS partnership project covering community engagement, communications, learning, disseminating project learnings and helping to optimise the legacy of the programme locally and nationally.
