You and your dog are welcome to join our Chair, Mike Hildesley, in a two hour dog-friendly walk around the main areas of the Common. As well as discussing the many benefits of dog walking, Mike will also be pointing out interesting features, about habitats, species and history, as well as discussing the management challenges and opportunities which abound in this historic site, now managed for biodiversity as a Local Nature Reserve, as well as for public amenity.
Our aim is to give you fresh insights and ideas that will make your dog walks even more pleasant in future, whether on the Common or in other open spaces.
This walk will start and finish at The Pavilion at Vine Road Park where drinking water and water bowls are available. It will last around two hours, but you can drop off at any time.
Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear sturdy footwear. If the weather is warm, you may wish to bring a bottle of water.
We ask dog owners to keep their dogs under control at all times, this may mean putting them on a lead.
