We are delighted to welcome back Karen Goldie-Morrison, former Chair of Council at Butterfly Conservation and Barnes Common Friend to lead a morning walk on Barnes Common, looking at butterflies in their habitats.
Join us and see how many butterflies and moths we can identify using this fabulous ID sheet our friend, local photographer Andrew Wilson has produced! Click here to download the ID sheet.
Karen has always had a strong personal interest in butterflies and their conservation. She has been the lead volunteer butterfly transect monitor in Barnes for 10 years, and has recorded all 30 butterfly species illustrated in the sheet.
Meet us outside the Pavilion at Vine Road Recreation Ground before the walk. Please wear sturdy walking shoes or boots and weather appropriate clothing. If the weather is hot, you may wish to bring a bottle of water - there is a drinking fountain at the rec if you need a refill.
Please note, dogs will not be admitted at this event except guide dogs. All our events are dog free unless specifically mentioned in the event listing.

Please contact [email protected] for more details.
