Winter Explorers is a four-part series of Sunday workshops running through the winter months of November through to February, for 5-9 year olds and their adults.
Each two-hour workshop will celebrate winter in all its glory, offering space and time to appreciate the unique process of change the season brings and find beauty amongst the cold and mud. Each session will consist of outdoor adventures, woven together by creative craft activities which run across all 4 workshops.
Session 2 celebrates the Earth & its Weather
Why is it so cold in winter? What happens to all the leaves on the floor? What is mud? What can we make from it? What does it feel like to be the wind?
Through creative games and wild wondering we will explore why winter is so wintery. We will seek out the invisible and hard to see processes that make it so cold and wet and explore the earth we stand on.
Children must be accompanied at all times. Maximum 3 children per adult for this activity. Sign up for all 4 sessions to receive a free loyalty gift each session!
