Celebrate winter in all its glory! Explore the winter ecology of Barnes Common through a collection of playful and immersive exercises.

Winter Nature Club is a four-part series of Sunday workshops running through the winter months of November through to February, for 5-9 year olds and their adults.

Each two-hour workshop will celebrate winter in all its glory, offering space and time to appreciate the unique process of change the season brings and find beauty amongst the cold and mud. Each session will consist of outdoor adventures, woven together by creative craft activities which run across all 4 workshops.

Session 4 celebrates Humans:

Can we sing like a winter bird? How did people stay warm when they lived in the woods? How do people celebrate nature in winter?

Immersing ourselves in the wintery Common, we will explore the ways humans have celebrated the winter months. Using songs, craft and dance we will touch, smell, listen and see the common in a new wintery light.

Children must be accompanied at all times. Maximum 3 children per adult for this activity. Sign up for all 4 sessions to receive a free loyalty gift each session!
