Winter Explorers is a four-part series of Sunday workshops running through the winter months of November through to February, for 5-9 year olds and their adults.
Each two-hour workshop will celebrate winter in all its glory, offering space and time to appreciate the unique process of change the season brings and find beauty amongst the cold and mud. Each session will consist of outdoor adventures, woven together by creative craft activities which run across all 4 workshops.
Session 1 celebrates Trees & Plants:
Have you ever wondered why trees lose their leaves? Can you catch one? What does it feel like for a plant to go to sleep? Do trees get cold? Can you know who a tree is by touch?
Through a series of playful exercises, our first session will open our senses to the unique moments of change plants undergo in winter. We’ll follow our curiosity, our eyes, ears, hands and noses into the wild and beautiful world of sleeping winter trees, appreciating the leaves that have fallen and the trunks that remain.
Children must be accompanied at all times. Maximum 3 children per adult for this activity. Sign up for all 4 sessions to receive a free loyalty gift each session!
