Yaffles Nature Club at Barnes Common – May Picnic

Vine Road Recreation Ground, SW13 0NE

We are getting out and about exploring the wonderful outdoors at Barnes Common - all are welcome! Join us for our annual picnic in May!

Our Yaffles Nature Club happens on the 3rd Saturday of the month from October to May. The Club is for family groups of adults and young people aged 3-9 years, to develop their confidence and skills for outdoor exploration.

By attending Yaffles Club you and your young person will learn about the wildlife around us, how to recognise it, how it changes over the year, how we can protect it, and more. Yaffles aims to be an informal learning opportunity, allowing young people (and adults!) to develop a connection with nature and explore their passions in a fun and low-pressure environment. There will be games and challenges and plenty of fun!

We'll have our annual picnic at the May session - bring your own drink and snack or lunch, your picnic blanket and join us to celebrate nature and spring!

Activities will vary by month and by season. Suitable for all ages of younger learners, this event will be entirely outdoors (weather permitting) so please dress appropriately for the weather and in clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

10.30-12.00 on the 3rd Saturday of Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, & May.

Register for your ticket in advance. Please arrive shortly before the time stated.
