This year we are proud to have joined the Gaia Foundation’s Seed Sovereignty campaign. This helps us develop the project’s capacity for seed saving through building understanding and skills within the growing community. The activities around seed saving engage regular volunteers of our project and include maintaining allocated seed saving plants, harvesting, drying, processing, packing and storing seeds. During the 2022 growing and harvesting seasons the seed saving efforts have become well established and continue to be an important element of the Growing Project. We aim to collect sufficient seeds to fulfil our commitment to the Community Seed bank, as well as for our own 2023 growing season.
